Formica and Fish on Friday

February 29, 2008

If you’re interested in reading the story about the journey to Marta Corsico’s gas station cafe, please send me an email at layneattaxigourmet.com, and I’ll be happy to share it with you.

In the meantime, here’s some information about where to find Marta’s food in Buenos Aires:

Where to find Marta Corsico’s food in BA:
Until March 31, 2008 or so:
At the non-functioning gas station on the corner of Entre Rios and Chile in the Congreso neighborhood
Note: There’s no street entrance. Enter through the side door in the service station and ignore the dirt piles and the big ditches.

Beginning in April, 2008:
At an as yet unnamed restaurant
Viamonte 1363 (y Tacalhuano)
Hours: 7 am – 8 pm

In limited quantities:
YPF
Bernardo Irigoyen and Venezuela
This is a gas station run by Marta’s husband and son. They usually feature 2-3 of Marta’s dishes, including “spectacular tartas [quiches],” according to Miguel Angel.
