A hungry New Yorker took one look at my map of cabbie-recommended restaurants in the Big Apple and had this to say: “More Brooklyn!”
More Brooklyn, I hear you.
This Wednesday my co-adventurer and I are meeting cabbie Huseyin Kanal (who led us to great Turkish food and extraordinary baklava a couple of weeks ago) at Bay Ridge Shish Kebab & Gyro, his favorite place in all of Gotham for chicken gyros, which happens to be in Brooklyn.
But that’s not all. This Thursday, co-adventurer Katie M. and I will start off a taxi adventure from the back seat in downtown Brooklyn.
Fasten your seat belt – we might end up eating two meals in a row in your beloved borough.
